Please pray that my son, who is a sheriff on patrol in a bad area) gets the detective position he interviewed for. This will get him off the street and on days. He has a one year old son and I would be so thankful. I worried so much these last months. Blessings
Diana, you are stronger than you think. I've struggled with mental health issues my whole life and through all the good and all the bad I'm still here. I know that sometimes I have to get to a new place to look back and see why I needed to go through hard times. God bless.
Six years later I want to report David made it through the Academy and was offered a job before he graduated. He has been a deputy sheriff going on five years. After he started working he finally proposed to his longtime girlfriend and they married the following summer and now I have an adorable grandson almost 7 months old. He has a stressful job. I know he's good at it. But I see his fatigue and stress. He puts 100% into everything he does to the point of stubbornness and not letting people in. I am SO grateful that he found a woman who totally understands him and has always wanted to be a mother and she is incredible. My son's job allows him to have more time with his son than an ordinary job because of 4 10-hour days and he works swing. I'm grateful for that. But he looks tired. I pray for him everyday. Thankfully, his in-laws are awesome people. He has already known them for 14-15 years so it's definitely a second family. He did get through the academy without missing one single day, even if he had pain. His discipline is mind boggling. Lately I have been thinking that "oh boy, my mother was right." Thank you all for prays for him.
Please pray for my son, David. He is an incredible man, 27 years old, BA and MA from college and is now pursuing his dream of becoming a police officer. He started the academy three weeks ago and is also trying to hold down his own business and another job 2 days a week (to keep his medical). He now has severe sciatic pain and is stressed. All he can focus on is the academy and I worry he will do something that will make the problem worse. Please pray he slows down and has patience and that he can get out of the black and white and get into the grey area. He's a little stubborn. I know in my heart this is the career God has for him. It takes a big heart and courage to risk you life daily. Thank you all for your prayers. Thank you God for giving me this opportunity to pray for others and to allow others to pray for David.
