Please pray for us. I have been living beyond my means for 4 years, helping my friend and housemate of many years who lost his job then became too ill to work. I've been paying all the rent and the bills, going deeply into debt but confident that relief would come. God has blessed me throughout my life and always makes a way, opening a window when a door closes. Now, though, the bills are beyond my ability to pay, the debts are backed up, bill collectors call at all hours, our landlady has asked us to move. I am a senior with no savings remaining, forced to work a job meant for a much young man and I am beginning to slip in my performance, being coached by my bosses which only adds to my daily worries and the challenges that nag at me. The relentless stress is affecting my health and I feel that life is closing in around me. I have nowhere to turn. 'Friends' have turned their back and there is no one I can talk to or seek solace from. My faith in God is steadfast but all I see is darkness ahead and I am so afraid. I have sinned greatly in my youth and ask forgiveness for my transgressions. I ask for salvation, freedom from worry and stress ,and help to repay the debts I incurred while trying to help a soul in distress. Dear God, please help us find a new home that I can afford. Help us to regain our health and vitality. Help us to be free of debt so that we are no burden to others and can help others who need help. Please hear our plea.
