Dear Lord, I praise you everyday for your strength, guidance and faith in the journey that you have planned for me. Some days are harder than others, some days take my breath away from the difficulty it brings. The comfort I have is in your praise and continued faith I see and have in you. You lift me up and guide me, and gave me the wisdom to see what my purpose is. Through all the hurt, pain, suffering I and my children have endured I have found my purpose...I ask for prayers to give me strength and courage to continue my journey. I am setting on a path to tell my story, educate, advocate and make changes in our local government to keep more woman and children safe from abusers and more justice for the victims. I pray for support from others that have been victims of DV or Sexual Abuse that are ready to help me in fighting for our voices to be heard without us having to scream in pain and angst after being victimized again by the justice system. In my prayer request, I am also asking for prayers for the 1.3 million victims a year of Domestic Violence. It is one of our countries largest causes of accidents or deaths in woman/children and often related to severe gender biases. This is not a domestic issue. It's criminal. My prayer request is for my children's safety from their father. He kept them from me for years and physically abused them. They are with me finally and working on healing. The courts and justice system are proving to be slow in providing reassurance he will be held accountable and that they will continue to be safe. God has been undoubtedly walking with us and sometimes carrying us when needed. We pray for His c ontinued praise and my childrens vindication. We have court again this week.
