Please pray for my 79 year old mother-in-law. Three weeks ago she fell on the side of the bed and got cuts all over herself while my husband and I were at work. My sister-in-law who lives next door came got her and brought her to the hospital. They bandaged her and sent her home. She was able to make her planned Thanksgiving trip out of state to see her daughter-in-law and grandchildren. The whole time she was pretty much asleep. The Friday after, she was rushed to the hospital again where the family thought they were saying there goodbye’s. The doctors there helped her and a few days later she was released to go home. She cannot recall being in the hospital, seeing her grandchildren, the fall before or anything. She does deal with dementia. This past Tuesday she had a doctors appointment and once again, she was admitted into the hospital. The doctors from her visit before the trip had put her on a large dose of gabapentin instead of starting off with a small dose and working her way up, they gave her a large dose which was not agreeing with her. Comes to find out she has afib which is not good for her at this age. So, there treating her with medication. She’s home now and has home health coming to visit her.
