Actually this prayer request is for my previous Pastor & his wife. They have retired and while visiting his daughter in USA it was discovered he had cancer, so had to return home early from the trip which was his retirement gift from the church. However, aproximately 3 weeks ago he was told once again the the cancer has returned, which is a very aggressive type and all his organs have been affected. He is facing it & putting on a brave face and as he says he is happy to go to be with the Lord but does not like the idea of leaving his wife behind. He faces surgery, Chemo, and a long road to recovery after all this plus not knowing what the future holds plus a very different lifestyle thereafter. Obviously it is a big shock to them both & their children. After serving the Lord for almost all their lives they do not question God but are finding it hard to face this which I am sure we all would do should we be in that position. His wife not knowing what lies ahead but knowing what he r husband is facing & has to go through, she is a wonderful person filled with the love of the Lord, always had answers and helped others regarding councelling for thr Lord, always ready to help & her husband has been a master at doing the most wonderful weddings plus instrumental bringing others to the Lord! Please pray for them as Friday 26th is the day for him to be at the hospital. God is in control and still able to work a miracle but please pray for them both for peace of mind, understanding, strength, and Gods hands to be with the surgeons etc. God knows their needs & we would appreciate your prayers for Roger & Sharon you only need first names God knows who they are!
