Jackie I'm so sorry you are having to go through this. You are not alone and I understand your frustration all too well. I'm in a similar situation. There are a couple of things I've learned by doing my own research that I hope may help you. 1. Since you were awarded Alimony/Spousal Support there are a few ways you can go about it. Tell or demand to your attorney that you want to file for "Garnishment". If your attorney refuses to do it even though you still have him on retainer, report him to the Attorney Law Board for non compliance. 2. You can find the Garnishment paperwork online and fill it out yourself or I would recommend having someone help you fill it out with you. It gets tricky, especially since it's been 7yr's. I have the paperwork myself cuz my Ex-husband stopped paying 5yr's ago and I myself can't figure it out. 2. You can try calling the Judge's secretary and maybe they can give you a direction you can go. 3rd. You can try your law enforcement agencies, since you were awarded alimony your Ex is in violation of a court order and they can issue a warrant for his arrest. I hope this gives you some guidance and I will keep you in my prayer's. I will admit I have this knowledge myself but I still haven't done anything about it. Mostly because of fear! I was in a DV marriage for 15yr's and it's still difficult to this day for me, yet I get so angry that this man still has that much control over me but I know it takes time to get thru it. I too don't have the finances to higher an attorney but am being hopeful that maybe I can find one that will be willing to take my case on retainer. That is also another option for you too. I wish you the best of luck. Please keep me in prayer for strength to follow thru. If you need to talk you can reach me via email at kerakbjg@gmail. Sincerely, K. Youngblood
