Heavenly Father,
Today we lift up Maria Colton to You as she grieves the loss of her dear friend, Mr. Washington. Thank You for the blessing of their friendship and for the kindness, compassion, and listening heart that he shared with so many. Thank You for the comfort, encouragement, and companionship he gave during their dialysis treatments. We thank You that Mr. Washington passed peacefully. May he now rest in Your eternal presence, free from pain and suffering. Let the memories of his kindness, his gentle spirit, and the conversations they shared bring Maria comfort in the days ahead. When the sadness feels too great, remind Maria that she is never alone. Surround her with family, friends, and caring people who will listen, encourage, and support her. Fill the empty places in her heart with Your hope, Your love, and Your promise that one day, for those who trust in You, death is not the end but the beginning of eternal life.
May Your grace carry Maria through this season of sorrow, and may Your light shine upon her until joy slowly returns to her heart.
