@Teresa Renee Its a very inspiring story, Praise be to God for rewarding you your life back (probably in a much better way). God really moves in mysterious ways. I hope you're already okay from your illness and may that man who provided you sanctuary in times of need be blessed a thousand folds, God will reward him for that.
I used to be skeptical about faith because of the circumstances that I had to witness and endure growing up especially with my family and health. I came from a not very normal family and it wasn't an ideal environment for a child growing up, I have always been sickly growing up and would go in and out of the hospital every now and then, along with that I had bad vices as well and wanted to die so badly because everything was getting too much for me to handle.. both emotional, mental and physical pain. By early 2012 I have been given a doctors warning that I should stop drinking and be even more careful with the lifestyle that I choose because my body and immune system is already at its weakest and that even more complications would arise if I don't help my self and get helped. I didn't listen, instead, I became even more worst and out of control. By around Sept.-Oct. 2012 I've gotten much more worst and was in & out of the hospital more often and on November 2012 I have been informed that I had Myelodysplastic Syndrome (MDS) in which the doctor described in laymans term as a pre-leukemia by then the number of my wbc were abnormally high and that they were affecting healthy rbc's as well as my body and if left untreated would eventually develop into a much more complicated type of leukemia. I have been overweight since I was a kid but the funniest thing that i always joke around with people is that I suffered from anemia, hypotension, angina, and severe asthma even if I was a fat ass. Growing up, I was very sensitive and would eventually get sick every now and then, I had the most ridiculous allergies and by 9th grade I had stomach ulcer and was treated eventually up until 11th grade which caused me to be constantly absent from school. Minor fever, cough, and colds would eventually end up into something worst and I'd have to be taken to the hospital. Vitamins and medicines weren't that effective and sometimes just makes things even more painful or worst for me. I would collapse from pain and my body would lock including my fingers and my hands and my face and lips would shake and lock too every time I'd have an attack and then will eventually be rushed to the hospital. Due to my lack of faith and hopelesness by Q1 2013 I was forced by my mom to cooperate w/ the doctors and get treated, I hated it and would still go on with my nasty habits which gave doctors a very hard time treating me. After the death of my grandmother Nov.2013 and my father Dec. 2013 I became much much worst and I wanted to end the agony so badly, I wanted to die, I stopped taking my medications and stopped getting treatments. I drowned myself with alcohol and other stuff, I argue and fight with people and shut others out. Beginning of 2014 my mother sent me to an intensive treatment in which I had to take a break from school for 3mo.. After the 3mo treatment, my body regained energy and I started to go to school again but eventually ended up drinking again but this time accompanied by other hard rec. drugs which made things worst for me because I had started to bleed externally now too and the pain was more than I could handle. By the end of 2014 I have been clinically diagnosed with depression in addition to that I have been scheduled for another intensive medical treatment program and undergone detoxification, alcohol rehabilitation, and pt assisted exercises and therapies. By Aug. 2015 I have been allowed to go back to normal but without the old habits. As of now, I am 11mo sober from alcohol & drugs and is now doing quite okay, I have lost an incredible amount of weight and gained so much faith not only to myself but also to God and to eveyrone who have supported and stood by me all throughout. I can't say that I'm 100% healthy now BUT I can do say that I've gotten my life back in a way that I have never imagined I would after all that I've been through and also, I'm already fixing my returnee application for school and will be returning to school next year 2016. So far right now, I haven't had any severe attacks, bleedings, or anything serious. I eat healthy organic foods now, go to the gym, and had started to develop and adapt to a healthy lifestyle. Also my faith right now has grown and I thank God and the heavens for the unconditional love, the overflowing blessings, and for always being there for me no matter how stubborn or how messed up I was back then. God really does move in mysterious ways... :) and through faith in him and in to our capabilities we can move mountains.
