Today, my sister is going into serious surgery for an infected diverticulus problem. She has been in the hospital with infection for 5 weeks!!!! The surgeons need to do a colostomy and cut out the infected tissue and sew her intestines back up and insert a colostomy bag. She is told this will take care of the pain and infection, but I am worried theat they will go in, and it will be worse than thought, and something will cause her to be even sicker. Or not heal. Please send out your prayers for ease of operation, quick healing, and a lifelong change that will keep her healthy.
